Nivalis Nights FAQ — Everything You Need to Know

All the common questions about Nivalis Nights, answered in one place. New questions will be added as the community discovers the game after launch.

Release & Platforms

When does Nivalis Nights release?

September 29, 2026 on PC via Steam. An Epic Games Store release is planned for a later date.

Is Nivalis Nights on console?

Not announced. The game is PC-only at launch — no PlayStation, Xbox, or Switch versions have been confirmed.

Is Nivalis Nights on Game Pass?

No plans have been announced for PC Game Pass.

Was the game always called Nivalis Nights?

No — it was originally announced as Nivalis and renamed to Nivalis Nights ahead of release. Both names appear in older articles.

How much will Nivalis Nights cost?

The official price hasn't been announced. Expect news closer to launch; our estimate is a $25–$40 USD range based on comparable titles.

Is there a pre-order?

Not yet. The Steam page is available for wishlisting; pre-orders typically open in the final month before launch.

Gameplay

What kind of game is it?

A cyberpunk life simulation with deep business management. You inherit a noodle bar and grow it into an empire across seven business types — food stalls, noodle bars, ramen bars, stim stores, bars, restaurants, and nightclubs — while living a full life in the city: apartment customization, fishing, relationships, and the chess tournament.

Is Nivalis Nights multiplayer?

No — it's a single-player game. The city's 135 citizens are AI-driven with their own schedules and stories.

Who develops and publishes it?

Developed by ION LANDS (creators of Cloudpunk) and published by 505 Games. It's set in the same city as Cloudpunk.

What businesses can I run?

Seven types: food stalls, noodle bars, ramen bars, stim stores, bars, restaurants, and nightclubs. You start with an inherited noodle bar in the Meridian Market district.

How do I make money fast?

Master your noodle bar, reach venue level 3 to unlock a Manager, build a greenhouse and fishing supply chain, then expand. The highest earners are black-market energy trading (risky — CorpSec can fine you) and nightclubs. See our Best Business Guide.

Can I fish?

Yes. You own a private boat, and fishing is a core activity — catches can be sold, cooked into menu items, or given as gifts. Weather affects what's available. See our Fishing Guide.

Is there romance?

Yes. The developers promise you can "find love" in Nivalis. Romance is part of the broader relationship system with the city's 135 voiced characters. See our NPC Relationships Guide.

Can I customize my apartment?

Yes. You can buy and decorate apartments across the city — furniture, lighting, and more — and even decorate homes for friends. See our Apartment Customization Guide.

Is there a chess tournament?

Yes. A high-stakes chess tournament is a confirmed feature, alongside other minigames you can play against NPCs.

Does weather affect gameplay?

Yes, significantly. Rain and storms drive customers indoors (good for indoor venues, bad for stalls); snow raises heating demand and energy prices; clear days are best for fishing and outdoor operations.

How does the economy work?

Prices shift dynamically by supply and demand in each neighborhood. The newspaper reports market information, and smart players arbitrage ingredients across districts. Competitors react to your success and copy successful menus.

Is there a day/night cycle?

Yes, with a full weather system. There's also a curfew-related security presence (Corps) that matters if you trade on the black market.

How long is the game?

No official estimate. With seven business types, 135 NPCs, fishing, apartment customization, and a chess tournament, expect dozens of hours — we'll add verified numbers after launch.

Technical

What are the system requirements?

Minimum: Windows 10/11 64-bit, 16 GB RAM, dedicated GPU with 6 GB VRAM, DirectX 11, 30 GB storage. Recommended: 8 GB VRAM GPU (e.g., GTX 2070 or newer), DirectX 12, SSD. Full details in our System Requirements Guide.

Is it Steam Deck verified?

Not yet. No official verification as of August 2026 — we'll publish tested settings after launch.

Is there a demo?

No public demo has been announced as of August 2026.

Will there be mod support?

Nothing announced yet.

Is there DRM / always-online requirement?

No always-online requirement has been announced; it's a single-player game.

Business Questions

What's the best first business?

Master the starting noodle bar first — it's the tutorial for the whole management system. Reach venue level 3 (Manager unlock) before expanding. See our Best Business Guide.

What are Achievement Points?

Milestone rewards from business success that unlock access to new city areas and business opportunities.

Can competitors copy my business?

Yes — the economy is dynamic. If you dominate a niche, expect imitators, and be ready to pivot your menu and pricing.
